Crossfire Ministries is one of our trusted, Christ-centered partners in Colorado Springs, serving families with no-cost groceries, clothing, and practical help when life gets hard. Their mission is to reflect God’s love in very tangible ways, turning generosity from the community into everyday provision for neighbors who are struggling.

From heart to table

When a family hits a financial wall, even putting food on the table can feel overwhelming. Crossfire Ministries steps into that moment with a simple but powerful approach: a no-cost grocery warehouse where guests can shop for the food, clothing, and toiletries their household needs—without price tags, pressure, or shame.

What we love about Crossfire is the way they welcome each guest as a valued person, not a number. Walking into their facility feels more like entering a local neighborhood market than a traditional charity line, with stocked shelves, friendly volunteers, and an atmosphere of dignity and care.

A dignified shopping experience

One of Crossfire’s distinctives is the emphasis on choice and dignity. Instead of pre-packed food boxes, guests walk through an expanded no-cost shopping area and select the items that best fit their family’s tastes, dietary needs, and everyday rhythms. That shift—from simply receiving a handout to choosing what they bring home—communicates respect and restores a sense of agency.

Their newly remodeled 25,000 square foot facility is designed around this experience. Safe, modern refrigeration and freezer aisles hold fresh and frozen foods, while clothing and toiletry areas are thoughtfully arranged for easy browsing. With abundant parking and an inviting reception area, Crossfire makes each visit more accessible and welcoming for first-time and returning guests.

Beyond groceries: holistic care

Crossfire’s impact reaches beyond the grocery aisles. At Crossfire Thrift, located at 4609 Austin Bluffs Pkwy, gently used clothing, household items, and more are available at affordable prices, helping stretch limited budgets while supporting the ministry’s broader work. The thrift store is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 am to 4 pm.

Crossfire also offers utility assistance and educational resources, recognizing that financial hardship is often complex and multi-layered. Guests may come initially for food, but along the way they can also receive guidance, connections, and encouragement to help them take the next step forward.

How we partner and how you can help

As a church, we are honored to stand alongside Crossfire Ministries as they serve individuals and families across Colorado Springs. Through giving, serving, and spreading the word, we join them in making sure no one has to walk through a crisis alone.

There are several meaningful ways you can get involved:

• Volunteer during no-cost grocery hours to help stock, guide guests, and provide a warm welcome.

• Serve at Crossfire Thrift, helping receive, sort, and display donations.

• Donate food and hygiene items during their posted donation hours at the main warehouse.

• Support Crossfire financially through one-time or recurring gifts, multiplying the reach of their ministry.
