Reshaping Our Actions

Discovery Church’s “Live Well” message unpacks how true wisdom and maturity in Christ transform not just our thinking but our everyday lives. Drawing on Paul’s letters, the sermon challenges us to move beyond simply exporting good advice to others—to actually living it ourselves, especially in a culture that often celebrates busyness and distraction. Through stories of local and global impact, practical encouragement, and a focus on redeeming our time and attention, the message invites us to ground ourselves in Christ, build one another up in love, and let our wise, gracious living become a powerful witness to the world.

Reflections

  • Where in your life do you find yourself “exporting” advice or encouragement to others, but struggling to actually live it out yourself? What’s one step you could take to practice what you preach this week?

  • When you think about your daily routine, are there places where busyness or distractions are crowding out time with God or opportunities to love others well? What’s one way you could be more intentional with your attention?

  • Paul talks about maturity and being “built up in love.” Who are the people around you that help you grow in your faith, and how can you invest in that community (or invite others in) this season?
